Manufactured
in Aluminium (6082 T6) Type A gangways. They come complete
with portable self-locking stanchions, wheels at
the shore end, polypropylene hand and half-height
rails, lifting lugs and ship end hooks to suit individual
requirements. Gangways of this type can be provided
with footgrips for use up to either 30 or 50 degrees,
and can be manufactured up to a length of 30 metres.
Gangways can be supplied with 3 or 4 pin quick release
joints to facilitate ease of shipment and reduce
the stowage area required on board.
The steep-angled
lightweight Aluminium SALA gangway is a welded structure
that has been designed for use in access situations
where the angle of inclination encountered is in
excess of 30 degrees. The main members of this type
of gangway are constructed from hollow sections,
the deck being made from specially formed treads
with a raised pattern anti slip surface. Self-locking
stanchions, wheels or roller, polypropylene hand
and half-height rails and ship end hooks are provided
as standard. Gangways of this type can be manufactured
up to 10 metres in length.
The shallow
angle lightweight Aluminium gangway is the sister
to the SHALA gangway. This gangway is of welded
construction, the main members being constructed
from hollow sections, whilst the deck is of anti slip
patterned plate with extruded footgrips fixed at
specific intervals along the surface of the deck.
The gangway is designed for use up to 30 degrees
of inclination. Self- locking stanchions, wheels
or roller, polypropylene hand and half- height rails
and ship end hooks are provided as standard. Gangways
of this type can be manufactured up to 10 metres
in length.
The type
C gangway uses Aluminium channels for its main members,
the walking surface of the gangway being formed
from corrugated deck plates. Extruded footgrips
are fixed at specific intervals along the surface
of the deck and depending on which extrusion is
used give working angles of 30 and 50 degrees. Self-locking
stanchions, wheels or roller, polypropylene hand
and half-height rails and ship end hooks are provided
as standard. Gangways of this type can be manufactured
up to 9 metres in length and are generally for use
in situations where a limited number of people require
access.
Custom built
Gangways are commonplace because of the many variations in ship
design and quay layout. We feel confident that we can provide
a suitable means of access tailor-made to suit our client's
budget.
