| Using a
specially extruded step section which gives a safe
walking surface through angles of inclination 0
- 55 degrees, the steps automatically adjust themselves
to always remain horizontal. Accommodation ladders
of this type can be manufactured up to a length
of 30 metres. Portable self-locking stanchions,
hardwood boatspar, shipside roller, bottom platform
and mild steel shore roller are provided as standard.
Options include folding handrails, stowage brackets
and the provision of special sheave housings. Non-standard
equipment can be designed to suit the existing stowage
arrangements providing adequate information is made
available. |

The standard
range of stowing equipment is manufactured in mild steel and
comprises turntable top platform, davit arm, davit post and
torque tube. Optional extras include winch, winch seat, waisted
rollers and stowage posts. Equipment which is not deck welded
is supplied with suitable corrosion protection whilst deck welded
equipment is provided with a coat of weldable primer. Stowing
systems can utilize both of our standard ranges of accommodation
ladders or can be designed to suit an existing ladder. Non-standard
equipment can be designed to suit the customer's exact need
providing adequate information is made available. |

Horizontal
stowing systems consist of an accommodation ladder , top platform,
davit arm, running tracks, stowage seats and clamps. Hydraulic
or electric control equipment is provided. Corrosion protection
is provided in the same manner as the standard range of stowing
equipment. |
